I was quite enamoured with Dancing Chrome back in 2017, and Portrait In Silver was a good follow-up, but Violet Age combines a bit of both albums to be an even stronger effort.
The first four songs hit perfectly in sucession (and the last four do too in all fairness). Fantasy 21 is an absolutely stellar opener, and is my favourite track of the eight. The whole album is energetic, and strikes a great balance between darker gothic sounds and lighter synth-pop adjacent sounds. Lorenzo
Perfectly gloomy Norwegian goth/post-punk, anchored by a punchy rhythm section and driven by chiming guitar lines and morose vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 16, 2021
